My original attempt at growing food consisted of a few random pots.
Which really was ok. We had a decent haul of cherry tomatoes one "season" and plenty enough carrots. We even had just enough lettuce for our occasional sandwiches. This wasn't good enough.
I planted a 4' x 4' square foot garden during my 2nd kid paternity leave break. Thus far we're loving it. Here's some information about its creation.
It started with a shelf:
Which turned into a garden box.
Where there used to be an evil liquid amber spikey ball dropping horror of a tree.
